I'm missing you all! Send me a post/comment on this blog so I can catch up a bit. Good luck Gutwein on the MG.
I'm praying for you schaf with the match.
Today was crazy. I was a first responder to a code (lung/heart failure) and the resident was not able to intubate. So, I got to do it! It was very exciting. I've always heard that in your first code situation you forget everything. I haven't really studied my code book in awhile so I didn't know enough to forget :o). He was apneic (not breathing) and in asystole (no heart beat), however, with intubation and a couple ampules of epinephrine we had sinus tachy. Our hospital is out of respirators so the family has to continue bagging him through the night. The patient presented with a blood glucose of 24. Our brain demands glucose.
That's all for now, God Bless,
Clint
